Co-Micardis is a prescription medication that contains the active ingredients Telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). MicardisPlus is a fixed-dose combination medication that contains two active ingredients: telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic. These two medications work together to lower blood pressure. The dosage of MicardisPlus for adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on telmisartan alone. The usual starting dose is 40 mg/12.5 mg once daily. If your blood pressure is still too high after 4-8 weeks of starting treatment, your doctor may increase your dose to 80 mg/12.5 mg once daily
