Uses

Resthrotec 75mg is used for reducing the risk of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers in patients at risk who require diclofenac therapy.

Benefits

Resthrotec 75mg offers dual benefits:

  • Diclofenac for relief of pain and inflammation
  • Misoprostol to decrease the chance of developing NSAID-induced gastric ulcers

Mechanism of Action

  • Diclofenac inhibits COX enzymes leading to decreased prostaglandin synthesis resulting in anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.
  • Misoprostol enhances defenses of the gastric mucosal lining.

Together they provide effective pain relief with protection against NSAID-associated gastric ulcers.

  • Recommended dose: 1 tablet twice daily with food
