Uses
 Sirdalud is prescribed to minimize painful muscle tightness or excessive muscle tone associated with multiple sclerosis (MS), spastic diplegia, back pain, spinal cord injury, and other conditions.
Dosage
- The initial dose is 2 mg taken orally three times daily.
- Maximum daily dosage should not exceed 36 mg divided across short intervals.
- May taken with or without food but avoid grapefruit juice.
Mechanism of Action
Tizanidine is an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that reduces spasticity by increasing presynaptic inhibition of motor neurons.
