Infacol Colic Relief Drops is a clinically proven formula designed to alleviate colic symptoms in infants. This gentle medication helps relieve pain and discomfort caused by trapped wind, offering parents a reliable solution for their baby’s colic-related distress.
Uses
Infacol is primarily used to treat and prevent infant colic. It’s particularly beneficial for babies experiencing discomfort due to trapped wind or gas bubbles in their digestive system. This medication can be used from birth onwards to help soothe colicky babies and improve their overall comfort.
Benefits
- Helps relieve pain and discomfort associated with colic
- Aids in joining small gas bubbles into larger ones for easier expulsion
- Clinically proven formula with progressive effect
- Can be used from birth
- May help prevent further build-up of wind
- Gentle on baby’s delicate digestive system
- Easy to administer before each feed
How It Works
Infacol contains Simeticone, an active ingredient that works by helping small trapped gas bubbles join into bigger bubbles. These larger bubbles are easier for the baby to bring up as wind, thus relieving pain and discomfort. The formula works progressively over several days when given before each feed.
Dosage
The normal dose is one dropper full (0.5ml) given before each feed. To use:
- Shake the bottle well.
- Draw up one dropper full by squeezing the rubber bulb twice.
- Administer by squeezing the bulb and releasing Infacol onto the back of the baby’s tongue.
If symptoms don’t improve after 3-4 days, the dosage can be increased to two droppers full (1ml) before each feed.
Side Effects
Infacol is generally well-tolerated. However, as with any medication, some babies may experience mild side effects. If you notice any unusual reactions or if symptoms persist, consult your healthcare provider.
Warning
If symptoms do not improve after several days of use, seek medical advice. Always read the enclosed instructions carefully before use. Keep out of reach of children.
