I saw other reviews mention a metallic taste. Well, it's iron after all, so I kind of expected that in the liquid form. However, I personally could not taste it. BUT, my sense of taste never fully recovered after having Covid in December 2020, so my taste judgment is not really a reliable one anymore. I still don't think any liquid iron, in general, is going to win anyone over in the flavor department.
As for the "Honey Orange" flavor, I didn't really taste honey and it was more like "supposed to be citrus of some sort I guess" and really sweet to me.
Was it horrible? No. Was it great? Also no.
It didn't make me want to gag and scrub out my mouth at least.
Will I be ordering this again? Absolutely!
Do I recommend this to others that struggle with their iron levels? You bet!
The only time my hematocrit was higher (and not even by much) in the decades I've been donating was when I donated after I had two IV iron infusions at the hospital because it was so low. The doctor there told me not to donate, but, of course, I don't listen. There is no medical reason for my low iron, I will continue to donate because I know others can't or won't.
