Lamisil Antifungal Cream contains terbinafine hydrochloride, an antifungal active ingredient that treats fungal and yeast infections of the skin. This topical cream comes in a 1% formulation.

Uses

Lamisil Antifungal Cream is indicated for tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), pityriasis (tinea versicolor) and cutaneous candidiasis.

Benefits

Key benefits of Lamisil Antifungal Cream include its potent antifungal and antimycotic properties to quickly treat common skin fungal infections. The topical delivery targets treatment.

Mechanism of Action

Terbinafine, the active ingredient in Lamisil cream, inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disrupts fungal growth.

Dosage

Apply a thin layer of Lamisil Antifungal Cream to clean the affected skin and surrounding area twice a day for 1-4 weeks based on the condition.

Warnings

Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity reactions occur. Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes. Not for oral ingestion.

Important Information

Inform your doctor about any medical conditions before using this medication. For external use only. Use the full course as prescribed even after symptoms resolve to ensure elimination of the fungus.

Apply Lamisil Cream once daily for 7 days. Clean and thoroughly dry the affected areas on the skin. Use the amount of cream sufficient to treat the affected skin and surrounding area and rub in gently. Use only a thin layer of cream. When treating athlete's foot, apply the cream to both feet, even if the symptoms only affect one foot. If you need to apply Lamisil Cream between your toes, fingers or buttocks, under a breast or armpit, or in the groin region, cover the area with gauze after the cream has been applied. This is particularly useful at bedtime.
