Important Notes
- Take on an Empty Stomach: Rapidflox should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals, for better absorption.
- Avoid Dairy and Antacids: Do not take it with dairy products or calcium-fortified juices as they reduce its absorption. Avoid taking it with antacids or multivitamins containing calcium, magnesium, or iron.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water to avoid the risk of crystal formation in the urine.
- Complete the Full Course: Finish the full course as prescribed, even if you feel better, to avoid antibiotic resistance.
- Photosensitivity: Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or UV light as Ciprofloxacin can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight.
- Drug Interactions: Inform your healthcare provider of any ongoing medications, as Ciprofloxacin interacts with certain medications like blood thinners (warfarin) and diabetes medications.
- Side Effects: Report severe side effects like tendon pain, swelling, numbness, or tingling sensations to your healthcare provider immediately.
