Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use the Mycoten-Plus vaginal cream applicator:
- Wash Your Hands Start by thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water to maintain cleanliness.
- Prepare the Cream and Applicator
- Remove the cap from the Mycoten-Plus tube.
- Attach the open end of the applicator to the tube of cream.
- Fill the Applicator
- Gently squeeze the tube to fill the applicator with the prescribed amount of cream.
- The applicator should have markings to measure the correct dosage.
- Detach the Applicator
- After filling it with the correct dosage, unscrew the applicator from the tube.
- Get into a Comfortable Position
- Lie on your back with knees bent and legs apart, or
- Stand with one foot on a chair, or
- Lie on your side with one leg bent.
- Insert the Applicator
- Gently insert the filled applicator into your vagina, around 2-3 inches (5-7 cm), or as far as comfortably possible.
- Release the Cream
- Slowly push the plunger to release the cream.
- Push the plunger fully to ensure the entire dose is dispensed.
- Remove the Applicator
- Gently withdraw the applicator from your vagina.
- Clean or Dispose of the Applicator
- If reusable, wash the applicator with warm water and mild soap, then let it dry completely.
- If disposable, wrap it in tissue and discard it in the trash.
- Wash Your Hands Again Ensure your hands are clean after completing the application.

- Application Timing: Apply the cream at bedtime to minimize leakage.
- Consistency: Follow your healthcare provider's instructions on frequency and duration, even if symptoms improve before the course is complete.
