How It Works
Oxispa 250mg Tablet contains Cefuroxime which binds to specific penicillin-binding proteins located inside the bacterial cell wall. This inhibits the third and final stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death of susceptible bacteria.
Duration of Action
Cefuroxime reaches peak plasma concentrations within 2-3 hours after oral administration. The plasma half-life is approximately 1.5 hours, with antimicrobial activity persisting for 8-12 hours per dose.
