Lantus Solostar 100IU/ml injection 1 Flexpen

To use Lantus SoloStar, follow these steps:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
2. Remove the outer needle cap and save it for later.
3. Remove the inner needle cap and discard it.
4. Prime the pen by turning the dose selector knob to the number 2.
5. Hold the pen upright and press the injection button all the way down. You should see a drop of insulin appear at the tip of the needle.
6. If no insulin appears, repeat steps 4 and 5. If there is still no insulin, use a new needle and repeat steps 4 and 5.
7. Select your dose by turning the dose selector knob to the desired number of units.
8. Choose an injection site on your abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab.
9. Pinch the skin at the injection site and insert the needle straight into the skin at a 90-degree angle.
10. Press the injection button all the way down. Count to 10 before removing the needle.
11. Put the outer needle cap back on the pen and dispose of the needle safely.

Here are some additional tips for using Lantus SoloStar:

• Do not inject Lantus SoloStar into a vein or muscle.
• Do not mix Lantus SoloStar with other types of insulin.
• Store Lantus SoloStar in the refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C).
• Lantus SoloStar should be used within 28 days of first use.
