Side Effects

Common side effects include injection site pain, gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, and dizziness. Rare effects include allergic reactions, blood disorders, and kidney problems.

Warning

Severe hypersensitivity reactions can occur, especially in patients allergic to beta-lactams. Prolonged use may cause superinfection. Monitor kidney and liver function during extended therapy.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Use Tandak during pregnancy only when benefits outweigh risks. Small amounts are excreted in breast milk; consider temporary interruption of breastfeeding during treatment.

Interactions

How to Use:

  • Administered by intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injection.

  • Not to be mixed with calcium-containing IV solutions.
  • Dose adjustment required in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment.
  • Complete the full course as prescribed to prevent antibiotic resistance.
