How It Works

Dosage

Coatal Forte begins working within hours of administration. Artemether provides rapid parasite reduction within 24-48 hours, while Lumefantrine continues eliminating parasites over 3-7 days. Complete parasite clearance typically occurs within 72 hours of starting treatment.

Side Effects

Common side effects include headache, loss of appetite, dizziness, weakness, joint pain, and muscle pain. These effects are generally mild and subside as the body adjusts. Gastrointestinal disturbances like nausea may occur but typically resolve quickly.

Warning

Seek immediate medical attention for severe skin rashes, difficulty breathing, or allergic reactions. Coatal Forte should not be used for malaria prevention or severe malaria treatment. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve to prevent resistance development.
