Uses

Coatal Forte Tablets are prescribed for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by the Plasmodium falciparum parasite. However, it is not recommended for the prevention of malaria or the treatment of severe or complicated cases of the disease.

Patients should be encouraged to resume normal eating as soon as food can be tolerated since this improves absorptions of artemether and lumefantrine. In the event of vomiting within 1 hour of administration, a repeat dose should be taken.
