Mechanism of Action

Dosage
For amebiasis and giardiasis: 2g (4 tablets) once orally For bacterial vaginosis: 1g (2 tablets) once orally or 500mg twice daily for 5 days For anaerobic infections: 500mg twice daily for 5-6 days Adjust dosage in patients with severe renal impairment. Follow doctor’s instructions.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, metallic taste, and headache. Notify your doctor if side effects persist or worsen.
Warnings
Do not take Batima if allergic to tinidazole or other nitroimidazole drugs. Use with caution in patients with liver or renal disease. Avoid alcohol consumption during and for 3 days after treatment.
